Terms & Conditions - Tuning

CSC Motors

The terms and conditions below will bind all tuning bookings made with CSC Motors. If you are hiring our dyno, please refer our dyno disclaimer.

By making a booking, we presume you have read and understood the terms and conditions.

  1. Vehicle Condition and Remap Responsibility: It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the vehicle is in good working order and free from underlying faults prior to a remap. CSC Motors does not represent or warrant that remapping will not cause damage to your vehicle if underlying issues or poor maintenance exist. A basic vehicle health check will be conducted prior to any remap. However, this check may not identify all potential issues.
    • If, during the health check, we identify any concerns that may increase the risk of damage due to remapping, we will advise you accordingly.
    • If you choose to proceed with the remap despite these concerns, you do so at your own risk.
    • If CSC Motors deems the vehicle unsuitable for remapping based on the health check, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.
    • If the vehicle fails the health check and you choose not to proceed with the remap, a labour charge may be applicable for the time spent on the assessment.
  2. CSC Motors accepts no liability for any damage caused, directly or indirectly, to your vehicle, or any financial loss or expenses incurred by or imposed on or in connection with your use of our services. This includes, but is not limited to, damage caused by pre-existing vehicle faults, poor maintenance, or the failure of any serviceable item or mechanical part (including turbos) or electrical components. We do not accept responsibility for any claims for labour or parts under any circumstances.
  3. CSC Motors takes no responsibility for the loss of any other vehicle data while carrying out a remap.
  4. CSC Motors reserves the right to refuse any of our services to a customer.
  5. All performance and fuel performance figures provided by CSC Motors prior to a remap are estimates and should be treated this way.
  6. All work carried out will be based on the customers’ requests. Any advice we offer is purely for your information and is not legally binding.
  7. It is your responsibility to inform your insurance company of the remap. We strongly advise you inform them prior to having the remap carried out or driving the vehicle away from our premises the remap
  8. All payments are to be made immediately by card, cash, paypal, payment assist or bank transfer before the vehicle can be removed from the care of CSC Motors.
  9. If you are dissatisfied with the tuning services provided by CSC Motors or the performance of our remap, you may be eligible for a refund. A refund of the remap cost minus a £100 administration and reinstallation fee may be issued within 7 days of the initial remap. To be eligible for a refund, the vehicle must be returned to its pre-remap state. We cannot guarantee that we can return the vehicle to its original factory settings as this may not always be possible depending on the vehicle's ECU and the extent of the modifications. After 7 days, no refunds will be issued, and a fee may be charged to return the vehicle to its pre-remap state.
  10. Any software tweaks needed relating to the initial remap will be provided free of charge within 7 days of your original booking. After this period, charges may apply.
  11. CSC Motors reserves the right to cancel or postpone any booked remap for any reason (bad weather conditions etc.). Please note, we will only do this in extreme circumstances. In the event we cancel your booking, the deposit will be refunded.
  12. CSC Motors, using our booking platform, may take a deposit payment. This deposit payment will be used to secure the booking. In the event of a late cancellation (72 hours or less) or no-show, we reserve the right to hold the deposit as payment for our time. Our deposit will be outlined at the time of booking. Please note, CSC Motors doesn't have access to any card details you provide as part of the booking platform and these are stored by our third party payment providers who are Paypal and Square.
  13. CSC Motors do not accept liability for death, personal injury, loss of earnings, accidents, damages, faults, or legal claims.
  14. CSC Motors may take a photo or video of your vehicle and use it in advertising. If you do not want us to do this, please advise us. Please note, we cover all number plates as standard
  15. CSC Motors may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions to another organisation, and we will always notify you in writing if this happens, but this will not affect your rights or our obligations under these Terms and Conditions.
  16. You cannot use the discount provided to you by CSC Motors or your local car club in conjunction with any other offers by CSC Motors. Only 1 discount is applicable per booking
  17. All vouchers must be redeemed before the expiry date. Once an expiry date has passed, the voucher will be marked as redeemed.
  18. Please ensure all vouchers are presented on the day of booking; otherwise, the total balance will be charged.
  19. All CSC Motors vouchers have a cash value of £0.01
  20. CSC Motors vouchers can be transferred to another person if agreed in writing with CSC Motors.
  21. Virtual Read Considerations: In some cases, a "Virtual Read" of the ECU software may be necessary, where a copy is obtained from the server rather than directly from the vehicle's ECU. If your vehicle has already been modified prior to our tuning, you may not experience a noticeable difference in power. In such instances, no refunds will be issued, and full payment will be due.
  22. If you choose to use remapping as an option to try fix an existing issue with your vehicle, we are happy to help with this however, regardless of the outcome our time and service is still chargeable. For example, if your vehicle is in limp mode and you suspect the EGR valve is at fault, we will perform an EGR delete for you – however if this doesn’t fix the issue. We will still charge.
  23. Faulty Vehicle: Car If your car is diagnosed as faulty after our inital cooling off period, we can uninstall our remap software for you, however, no refunds will be given for this. We can re-install the remap for you once the issue has been fixed, however, we may charge for this depending on how much time is required to re-install the remap.
  24. Custom Tuning Package: Our Custom Tuning package includes up to 5 hours of tuning time with our expert technician. For tuning sessions exceeding 5 hours, an hourly rate of £80 (road tuning) or £100 (dyno tuning) will be applied.
  25. Lifetime Software Warranty: CSC Motors offers a lifetime software warranty for the initial remap installation. This warranty covers the reinstallation of the remap software in the event of corruption or deletion from the vehicle's control unit. This warranty is valid only for the original owner of the vehicle and is not transferable. We will charge a 1 hour labour charge to reinstall a remap. This is limited to a maximum of 2 claims at which point the warranty will no longer be valid.
  26. CSC Motors may amend these Terms and Conditions periodically.
